TAKING ACTION

TAKING ACTION

Image result for taking action PNGNelson Mandela was an activist and was civil rights who was a leader that was born and raised in South Africa. He had different rules because the people with white skin to black skin i think he did not like it but he was okay with the white people in a year.Eventually he became the President of South Africa and ended apartheid, but not before spending 27 years in prison.

  1. Kia ora Jane,

It is lovely meeting you! I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?

This is my first year joining the Summer Learning Journey, and I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs.

I’m really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy going for walks and I absolutely love cooking and baking. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?

Thank you for sharing what Nelson Mandela did for civil rights - it is incredible that he ended apartheid! For full marks for this activity, can you please share a write a journal entry imagining that you are Mr Mandela when he was in prison. I'd like to see what you come up with!

    Nga mihi
